Talents Assessment
(Last Update: 12/17/2003 )

Identifying your talents begins by observing yourself and selecting experiences in your life where you felt centered or natural.

To begin this process, read through the following statements and jot down activities, events, places, people, things that come to mind. You do not have to respond to every statement. Only respond to statements that invoke a memory and help you think about your natural talents.

Name a time in your life when you felt:

Energized by the challenge…

It was difficult to distract you…

Absorbed by what you were doing…

Mesmerized…

You lost track of time…

You did not want to be interrupted or disrupted…

The activity felt worthwhile and valuable…

This is a good use of time…

It may not be important to anyone else, but it is to you…

Peace and serenity…

Energized instead of drained…

You had total patience with this activity…

You had tapped into a source of knowledge …

There is naturalness about this…

When this is finished, there is self-appreciation…

A calling…

You could not wait to have the experience again…

You were growing…

You could not believe you got paid to do it…

No one taught you how to do this, it just came naturally…

Spiritual…

An accomplishment…

You were proud of your work…

This is fun…

In harmony…

Engrossed by the challenge…

You had the ability to think very quickly and clearly…
